Welcome to the Travel Section!

My blog’s home page features one of my favorite quotes: “We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.” Travel is an incredible journey: one that enriches our lives more than any other activity. I admit that traveling is often seen as a luxury that only the richest can afford.

I am a strong believer that it doesn’t have to be this way!

Traveling can take many forms: It doesn’t have to mean taking a big international trip to the other side of the world, staying in expensive hotels or paying for extravagant excursions. It could also look like taking a road trip, visiting a friend in a new city, even visiting a neighborhood you have already been to a hundred times with a fresh perspective.

Traveling is a mindset, one which can allow us to discover ourselves and others. It is something which connects us to the fabric of humankind and binds us together with those who come from different backgrounds. It is exhilarating and enlightening, but sometimes thrusts us outside of our comfort zones. It allows us to live life the way it was meant to be lived, and it truly does allow us to bestow meaning to every single moment.

This section will contain a series of deep and moving, comedic and exotic, quirky and fun travelogues. These are personal stories, and meant for entertainment purposes only. Travel is a great passion of mine, and I have always wanted a place to collect all of my travel memories. Therefore, this section will serve as a place to keep my travel stories alive, so that I can revisit them and share them with you. I hope you will enjoy perusing these stories of wanderlust, as much as I enjoy penning them! And I hope they will inspire you, too, to travel and explore more of our incredible world! (Of course, make sure you are being safe during the COVID-19 pandemic!)
